Obiit 28 Augusti 430.Augustinus multa opera de philosophia et theologia scripsit. Opera sua sunt, inter alia permulta: Contra Academicos (386), De immortalitate animae (387), De musica (388), De magistro (389), De doctrina Christiana libri IV (396/97), Confessiones (397-401), De trinitate libri XV (399-419), De civitate Dei (413-426). Sanctus Hieronymus Stridonensis (ca 346 - 420), Doctor Ecclesiae et religiosus, a papa Damaso mandato, transtulit Latine Sacras Scripturas de Hebraeo ac Graeco, quod opus Vulgata (versio) appellatur. Sanctus Thomas Aquinas (circa 1225–1274) fuit philosophus, theologus, et Doctor Ecclesiae Romanae; honoris causa, Doctor Universalis et Doctor Angelicus nominatur.
