3. Background of Anubis. Anubis’s background consists of his parents being Ra and Osiris. Anubis had one sibling Horus. He became known as the god of the dead when he started showing up in hieroglyphs holding the book of the dead and holding the embalmed mummy up right.

4. Anubis in modern day Anubis is brought to be a very popular character or symbol in some television shows. Such as the House of Anubis that has been aired on nickelodeon. This show has lots to do with Egyptian mythology. Theyfind old Egyptian artifacts and have to deal with strange magical happenings, but it never really connects to why the house is named the house of Anubis.

5. In my opinion….. I feel as if Anubis isn't portrayed as the god the Egyptians said he was. I feel that modern day television shows have actually talked him down, and don’t make it clear that he’s actually the god of death. They actually don’t elaborate on what he represents they just make him a scary, and intimidating god. They don’t show any of his powers or even how he was the god that created mummification. I think they should show what he actually did with mummification because it was one of his biggest things he invented.
