Special Populations Professional Development Meeting WHEN: October 11, 2013 Session #0001: 8:30 – 11:30 AM Session #0002: 1:30 - 4:30 PM WHERE: HMW - 1E01 and 1E02 WHO: High school campus teams, grades 9-12- administrators, counselors, Career and Technical Education chairpersons, Special Education chairpersons, and Limited English Proficiency/English Language Learners committee members WHAT: Participating campus teams will work together to utilize career planning tools to develop appropriate CTE student Plans of Study and gather information regarding best practices for student scheduling. Student Participation Coding • Reminder: • Campuses should complete all CTE Student Participation Coding by Friday, October 25, 2013
Special Population Student Coding Considerations: • Coding a special education student with a participation code of 2 or 3 requires that the four or six year plan be consistent with the ARD/IEP developed for the student TAC, §75.1023.
