What Holidays Does Egypt Have? • Muslims celebrate three major festivals: Moulid el-Nabi, Eid el-Ahda, and Eid el Fitr • At Moulid el-Nabi, they mark the birth of the Prophet Muhammad and have a big meal. They sell candy dolls. • Eid el-Ahda takes place after their annual pilgrimage to Mecca, which their holy place • Eid el Fitr is celebrated at the end of Ramadan. During Ramadan they fast during the day and only eat after sunset • Horses are decorated for festivals • Festivals take place in tents • Homes are decorated for festivals • Some people have a big meal at home
