  2. Background • November 2007:US$100 Million Grant from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation • January 2009: Additional $255 Million Grant given to Rotary from the Gates Foundation

  3. Past polio campaigns • 1986-88: US$247 million • April 2002- June 2005: US$135 million • December 2007- June 2012: US$200 million Over 2 billion children immunized

  4. Volunteer Structure • 42 Zone Challenge Coordinators • Zone Fundraising Team • RRFC’s • Assistant RRFC’s • ZCC’s • District PolioPlus Chairs

  5. Time Line -1 December 2007to 30 June 2012 -US$121 million raised to date.

  6. Rotary Clubs • US$2,000 goal per year until 30 June 2012 • Suggested 20% of DDF each year • Target New Rotarians • Since 1 July 2005: • 150,000 new Rotarians • 1,500 new Rotary clubs
