  2. Advocacy and policy dialogue in 2005 • AKÜ was established on civic initiative in 2002 to create a policy dialogue on Estonian Principles of Development Cooperation • In 2005 again consulted as a platform on the 1st national strategy paper on DC and humanitarian aid

  3. National Strategy for DC Problems: • Lack of time • Little interest • Little involvement • Low capacity • Format of consultation process Successes: • Informal success

  4. Policy Dialogue Member organisations Policy dialogue and AKÜ priorities Eastgate Building network of expertise Development Education School curriculum Awareness raising
