Career Description • Teach specific subjects (Food and Nutrtion, Personal Finance, Life Planning etc.) to students between 13 and 18. • Assist in the guidance of young adults in important life decisions. • Help students study subjects more closely than they did in elementary school. • Requires 4 year undergraduate degree and a masters in many states twiniversity.com

  3. Job Duties and Responsibilities • Teach others. • Organize, plan, and prioritize work. • Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates. • Update and use job-related knowledge. • Think creatively. • Document and record information. • Use computers.

Skills and Abilities Required for Success • High school teachers need to be able to: • Communicate • Listen to others, understand, and ask questions. • Reason and Problem Solve • Develop rules for student behavior. • Think of new ideas and original or creative ways to solve problems. • Identify ways to measure and improve student performance.
