  1. “Pastor’s Wives: Maintaining Spiritual & Emotional Health” Facilitating a life-giving experience for Pastor’s wives and women in ministry to experience the gospel of grace…

  2. My Family

  3. What are we going to ask God to do for us, in us, and through us as we meet together today? “And my God will supply everyneed of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19) “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (love).” (Galatians 6:2) “Let us draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (prayer).” (Hebrews 4:16)

  4. According to God’s Word, maintaining spiritual & emotional health includes: • Trusting that God will meet every need I have in Christ (gospel of grace in us), including the unique needs I have as a pastor’s wife. • Joining God in coming along side other pastor’s wives through listening, identifying with them, validating, supporting, and encouraging each other (grace through us). • Praying for one another in our time of need (grace for us).

  5. Here is how I believe God wants us to experience His grace together: • Break up into smaller groups • Questions that reflect some reality of being a pastor’s wife that each of us can answer and share about in your group. • As we hear one another share, bring those things to the throne of grace in prayer.

  6. It happened again… An Acts 6:4 (prayer & ministry of the Word) Pastor’s Wives Grace Group is needed for every pastor‘s wife… These Grace Groups include: • Transparency developed through trust • A commitment to meet regularly • Praying for one another outside the group gatherings and staying in contact when the women are not at the meeting together

  7. Sharing Question #1 “Briefly tell each other about your family and current ministry experience. Before we go on to the next question, spend some time praying for one another to experience God’s presence and grace as you share your lives with each other…

  8. Sharing Question #2 “What boundaries have you established in order to protect your marriage and family life?” Before we go on to the next question, spend some time praying for one another…

  9. Sharing Question #3 “For you, what is the greatest blessing and burden of being a pastor’s wife?” Before we go on to the next question, spend some time praying for one another…

  10. Next Steps • Who are the pastor’s wives in your area that you can begin to build relationships with? • What would it take to have an Acts 6:4 Pastor’s Wives Grace Group for the women in your community? • Pray for one another before you leave…
