Our Successes “Conditions in Haiti were the worst I’ve seen during all my years responding to disasters with the Virginia Task Force 1, Urban Search and Rescue team. While my previous experiences taught me what needed to take place for a successful outcome, it was my education at FCC that gave me the actual skills to develop and implement Incident Action Plans while additionally trying to educate embassy management on the ‘how and why’ of emergency management even as the disaster was still unfolding. Any successes I achieved were directly a result of my education at FCC.” - Bill Bertone, Virginia
