Intro Paragraph • 6 major lessons dance has taught me • Respect • Discipline • Time management • Coping with Stress • Growth • Love • Topic Sentence • Over the years, dance has become more than just a hobby, it has become a way of life, the lessons it has taught me have made an immense impact on the person I am today.

Body Paragraph 1 • Time Span: 1998-2003 • Lesson • Respect • Discipline • Claim • Dance taught me the meaning of both respect and discipline at a young age • Topic Sentence • When we were young we tried out several different activities in order to find our niche, at the age of three I found dance.

Body Paragraph 2 • Time Span 2004-2008 • Lesson • Time Management • Claim • Through dance, I learned how to balance school work, after school activities and friends. • Topic Sentence • Time management is typically something stressed by teachers in school but when you have dance combined with homework and projects, you learn sooner rather than later the value of balancing your time.
