  2. What is it about? Meet Rose is about a little girl who lives in Melbourne in the 1900s with her family and it is Rose’s lifelong dream to explore the world and have fun but her mother has different ideas.

  3. Exploring When Rose’s aunt from New Zealand comes to stay with them her whole life changes. Her aunt takes her to heaps of places that she has never been to before like the Coles arcade. Once Rose even stepped foot in the building she was amazed of how good it was.

  4. My Favourite character in the book My favourite character in the book was Rose. She is a very adventurous girl and loves to play a bit of cricket every once in a while. Another character in the book I like is Rose’s aunt. She is very kind to Rose and likes to spend time with her. She is so kind that she even lends Rose some books.

The other books the Author has written The Author of this book Sherryl Clark has written about 30 children’s books but the first book she wrote was The Too-Tight Tutu in 1997 which is part of the Aussie Bites series. Sherryl Clark writes all the Rose books in the Our Australian girls series. Some other books Sherryl Clark has written are Rose’s Challenge, Rose in Bloom, Rose on wheels, Motor Mouth, My big book of nibbles and most importantly Meet Rose.

  6. All about the author She was born in New Zealand and spent her first 16 years of her life on a farm. She always wanted to get away from it and travel!She started her working life as a librarian, but since then she has been a waitress, a secretary, a typesetter, a community arts worker and a writing teacher. Most of her jobs seem to have been about books and writing in some way.

  7. My Review I think Meet Rose is a great book and I would recommend it to most people because it is not to long for younger kids and not to short for the better readers. For me Meet Rose was a fantastic book and one of the best I have ever read because it has lots of action and lots of people having fun in the book so this is why I would recommend this book to most people.
