GEOGRAPHY • Nigeria is one third larger than Texas • The most popular country of Africa is located on the Gulf of Guinea, the West Africa. • Neighbors - Benin, Niger, Cameroon, Cad, and Niger River flows south through the western part of the country in to the Gulf of Guinea. • Swamps and mangrove forest border the southern coast, and the inland are hardwood forests. • Consists of ancient crystalline rocks of the African Shield • There are granite mountains, these environment form the landscape of Nigeria and of West Africa as whole. • Nigerian land has been shaped by volcanic episodes, there are two main areas of volcanic rock. • The Igbo men place great values in masculinity and strength.

Quotes • “ Among the Igbo the art of conversation is regarded very highly and proverbs re the palm-oil with which words are eaten.” (chp. 1) • This quote represents the intelligence of the Igbo tribe. The tribe has poor technological progress; however, they are smart, and people could notice by talking to them. Art of conversation shows that Igbo has some kind of luxurious way of conversation. • “And at last the locusts did descend. They settled on every tree and on every blade of grass; they settled on the roofs and covered the bare ground. Mighty tree branches broke away under them, and the whole country became the brown-earth color of the vast, hungry swarm.” (chp. 7) • This is like a allegory for the arrival of the colonizers. The locusts represents the colonizers, and it shows how the Nigerian society was when the colonizers arrived.

GAME!!! • Rules: • *You cannot blurt out answers, or else your team will lose 10 points (tickets). • *You must not scream, shout, run around, be crazy, or even overreact: if violated, the person will be eliminated from the game and there will be no prizes for that person. • *You must not cheat in any way and they include: crossing over the line, cutting the line, confusing people, or listening to other teams for the answer: if violated the team will be eliminated from the game with no prizes. • 1.player 2 going the second, player 3 going the last • 2. In each round, the player 1 from each team throws the arrow into the garbage bin from the three lines given (hard—3 points, medium—2 points, easy—1 points;—hard being the farthest and easy being the medium) • 3. If they make the arrow in, they win a point; if not they do not win a point. • 4. The player 1 from each team will throw the arrow, and that will determine the question types (i.e. if everyone threw from the hard line, they will all get hard questions) • 5. All the player 1 will now go up the board and get ready to answer the questions. If they know the answer, the player must write it down on the board and when done answering: must sit down. • 6. The first person to sit down and get the answer correctly wins the point • 7. If the first person does not get the point, the others can answer; and the first person lost his chance. • 8. This will repeat for all three/two players, and each team must choose three types of questions: 1. Easy, 2. Medium, 3.
