  5. Solution • Wake them Up • Tell a Story • Use visual cues • Less information per slide • More slides

Title each slide Use pictures and words Use sound sparingly Don’t use too many words Don’t overuse clip art Complimentary pictures and words Reveal one bullet point at a time Limit continuous animations Don’t read the slide to the audience No more than 10 slides in 20 minutes No more than 4-7 bullets per slide Show all of the bullets at the beginning of the slide Pick a format and stay with it Control how and when text is displayed No small text Concise bullets
