Concept of Endowment The Endowment Fund is an investment Fund designed to provide a stable financial base that will support the future work of Zonta. Analogy: • It’s like buying insurance • It’s like opening a savings account
WHY GIVE TO THE FOUNDATION We give because: • millions of women and girls need our help and our donation enables us to empower and ensure a better world for them • our members and our funds are the 2 most important resource of Zonta. One cannot function to fulfill our mission without the other Zontians help women who need our help the most regardless of geography, ethnicity, age, religion, political orientation.

To build an everlasting fund that potentially can minimize the stress of or reduce the need for fundraising in the future $1000 earns $50/year $100/biennium $10,000,000 earns $500,000/year $1,000,000/biennium (Enough to support one project) $50,000,000 earns $2,500,000/year$5,000,000/bienninum (Enough to support ALL projects of 2018-2020 Biennium)

RAISING FUNDS BOTH WAYS • FOR CURRENT PROJECTS THROUGH THE FOUNDATION AMBASSADORS • FOR ZONTA’S FUTURE WORK THROUGH THE CAEC REGIONAL REPS UNTIL THE ENDOWMENT FUND REACHES THE CRITICAL LEVEL THAT IS ENOUGH TO SUPPORT OUR PROJECT COMMITMENTS
WAYS TO GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT There are many options available to our Zonta members: • direct donation through a one-time gift • a gift made through recurring payments monthly, quarterly or semi- annually • make a pledge of a 3-year gift plan
Endowment Contributions • Direct Contributions: Payable as One Time Gift or through a Pledge payable in 3 installments or monthly/quarterly charges to credit card until end of Convention . • Believer - any amount up of US$9,999 • Advocate - US$10,000 - US$49,999 • Champion - US$50,000 - US$99,999 • Visionary - US$100,000 - US$249,999 • Bridge Builder - US$250,000 - US$499,999 • Change Maker - US$500,000 - US$999,999 • Peace Maker - US$1 Million & more
WAYS TO GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT FUND: • Donations of Stocks, Retirement Plans • Bequests of money, stocks, life insurance proceeds, property • Membership in Mary Jenkins Society • Goal 2 - As of July 2020, at least 150 additional persons will have made provisions in their estate plans to support the Zonta International Foundation as evidenced by the Mary E. Jenkins 1919 Society.
OTHER WAYS TO GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT • Conduct a common action fun run fundraiser event in all districts on November 9 to celebrate Zonta’s 100 year anniversary. Give $100 to the Endowment Fund
OTHER Ways to Give to the Endowment • Give at least $100/member as a birthday gift to Zonta International • A special gift campaign was launched by Areas 1 and 5 for the centennial birthday of Zonta. All members of Areas 1 and 5 were requested to give a minimum of $100 instead of a minimum of $25, of which 70% went to support current projects and 30% went to the Endowment Fund.
OTHER WAYS TO GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT • Hold a Fair or Bazaar with the Endowment as one of the beneficiaries
OTHER WAYS TO GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT • Sponsor a theatre performance, fashion show, dinner dance, or similar events with Zonta’s Endowment fund as the beneficiary
OTHER WAYS TO GIVE TO THE ENDOWMENT Cultivate a long-term sustainable partnership with a corporate sponsor/donor: • RCBC Bankard Rewards Partner Organization • RCBC Diamond Cares Partner Organization • Malayan Insurance We Women Program Partner Organization (under negotiation)
RCBC Partnership • RCBC Rewards Partnership - cardholders of RCBC credit cards can choose to exchange their rewards points for shopping vouchers, payment to their credit card, deposit to their account, airmiles,etc. They may also redeem their points and donate the same in favor of Zonta, SOS Children’s Vlllages and other non-profits partner beneficiaries.
RCBC PARTNERSHIP • Diamond Cares Program - for every P100 Spend using the RCBC Diamond Card, P0.20 will be donated by RCBC Bankard to a partner organization. RCBC Bankard has 2 partner organizations under this program: Gawad Kalinga (GK) and Zonta. GK is a movement that builds shelter and provides community support programs for the poorest of the poor in the Philippines as part of its effort to alleviate poverty.
OTHER Ways to Give to the Endowment • Allocate a percentage of club’s fundraising proceeds or the club’s existing funds to CAEC • Celebrate your birthday or your wedding anniversary and make the Endowment Fund your beneficiary in lieu of gifts • Other creative/unique ways of raising funds for the Endowment
Recognition • CAEC pin for those who donate $1000 and up • Name listed in banner displayed in HQ if you are a donor from Champion level • Name listed in the ZIF Annual Report and CAEC quarterly donations report when you make a donation to the campaign • Invitation to a special CAEC event at Convention when you give to CAEC at the designated level • Donations to current projects, Rose fund and endowment are accumulated to determine your cumulative giving to the Foundation
