  3. Revised course assessment structure The course assessment will consist of two components: • component 1 – question paper: paper 1 (non-calculator) • component 2 – question paper: paper 2

  5. What is unchanged • course aims, content and rationale • proportion of level C marks remains at 65% • balance of operational and reasoning skills

  6. How content will be sampled Revised groupings 2019: 2020:

  7. Grading The range of notional scores for each grade in the course assessment will be: • A: 70% - 100% • B: 60% - 69% • C: 50% - 59% • D: 40% - 49%

Guidance on preparing candidates for the course assessment • use correct notation and terminology throughout • communicate clear and rigorous justification of results • be familiar with the form of numbers • maintain and practise algebraic skills • maintain and practise previously acquired skills • refer to previous Course Reports
