  2. Biome Map • Deserts are in all continents. • Deserts also cover 1/5 of the world. • On this map the brown and light gray and teal is a desert.

  3. Desert Animals • Desert animals include the desert iguana, jerboa(a small rodent),rattlesnakes, and roadrunners.

  4. Desert animals(continued) • Other desert animals include Banded Gila Monster, Cactus Wren, Armadillo Lizard(in the picture),Kangaroo rat , Desert bighorn sheep, Tortoises ,coyotes.

  5. Desert plants • Desert plants include Brittle bush , Chainfruit cholla , Triangle-leaf Bursage,Soaptree yucca, Jumping Cholla, Crimson Hedgehog cactus.

  6. Desert Insects • Desert insects include wolf spiders , scorpions ,beetles, and sometimes scarabs.

  7. Desert climate(etc..) • Can be extremely hot or extremely cold and snowy. • Rainfall is about 2.5 centimeters per year , for a cold desert rainfall is about 15 to 26 centimeters per year.

  8. Conclusion • This is mostly what you will find in the desert see you there.
