My Year 8 Cumulative Assessment
What can you learn about the police in Victorian Britain? Source ‘a’ tells me that the police were very un-organised and pathetic. This force would be awful because they would let us down, also because they could not be trustworthy and could be stealing from our community’s. These police have just been randomly selected and may get us all kiled when it comes to a robbery or war.
Describe one key feature of industrial revolution? One key feature of industrial revolution was that the people who worked at home was now forced to work in a industrial factory. This meant that all the people with familes was separated for a whole day. The impact of this was that they could only see there family for a few hours and the workers had minimal sleep.
Explain How The Slave Triangle Worked? The slave triangle was a way of transporting slaves form Africa to the Uk to be auctioned. This meant that the boats had to be huge and the slavers had to squash themselves up. Along the way slaves were traded along the way for goods like food and weapons. After being whipped all wounds had to be cleaned with lemon juice and palm oil to make them look strong and healthy or nobody would bid high prices. Families will be split up for more money.
Explain why woman wanted to vote? Woman wanted the right to vote because they thought it was not fair for men to have the right and the privilege but they couldn’t. This meant that men would take advantage of their rights and shove it in their faces. Woman became very angry and started to protest. Hoping that their peaceful protest will then have persuaded the law to change.
Explain what life was like in tranches? One example about life in tranches was it was muddy and wet. This meant that many soldiers got trench foot, this lead to many soldiers losing a foot. The second example about life on trenches was that they couldn’t use the toilets because you could get blown up while in progress of using the toilet. So instead you would have to use a bucket. This meant that when it got full and you needed to use it you would have to clean it out. This lead to smelly and sticky hands. The last example of life in the trenches was the weapons, they were so heavy it took up to five to six men to carry on machine gun. The effect on this was you could get shot in the progress of moving the gun.
