  2. Chapter Summary: • In the story chapter some major concepts Dan Pink mentions are: • Stories are going beyond data to persuade, communicate, and create self understanding, by creating a narrative • Stories help create emotion • Creative stories help people remember things more than straight fact do • As right brain thinking becomes more important, so do stories • Its the best of the 6 senses

  3. Once upon a time there a was a mean elephant in the zoo, whose name was Eddie. He disliked everything and everyone, until he met Gerald the Giraffe. Gerald taught him all the goodness of the world. From then on he was nice and became friends with all of the animals. Project 1 Our first project was to write a mini saga that had to be exactly 50 words with a beginning, middle, and end.

  4. Relation to Story Chapter This mini saga relates to what Dan Pink talked about in his chapter because by creating to tell what occurred the listener will now be able to remember it more. If it was told in straight facts it would be forgotten.

  5. We interview Ester, Julia’s neighbor • Click Here! Project 2 For project two we had to create a list of questions, interniew someone over the age of 70, and then create a photo story of their life.

  6. Relation to Story Chapter By creating a photo story of Esters life we made her life story more memorable. By having pictures we made it more interesting and allowed emotions to take a role in the story telling. These are key components that Dan Pink talks about in his story chapter.

  7. We learned: • Stories make it easier to remember things more than facts do • They are more interesting and create emotions from the audience • Stories are becoming more and more important in today’s day and age What we Learned!

  8. The end!
