S.R.E. Goals Identify the significance of marriage in a family and raising children Offer material suitable to each age group Get parents engaged with their child’s sex education Bring down the percentage of teenagers becoming pregnant and STD rates
Ages 5-7 Children at this age level will learn about: Puberty Relationships How to be safe
Ages 7-11 Children at this age level will learn about: Puberty Relationships- including marriage, divorce, separation, same-sex, and civil partnerships Managing emotions Dealing with negative pressures
Ages 11-14 Children at this age level will learn about: Sexual activity Human reproduction Contraception Pregnancy STD’s Relationships
Ages 14-16 Children at this age level will learn about: Body image and health Choices about sex Parenting skills and family life Separation and divorce
