8. 8 Mission This is what our mission was. Everything we did was focused on meeting this mission. I won’t give you the gory details but to reach consensus, took more than a few hours of teeth baring and head knocking and I was not even in the room. However, this created our unity of effort. 9. 9 Lines of Operation TO assist us in this daily endeavor, these were the tasks that supported our mission statement. These four tasks are what we put all of our collective resources against. If a PRT member requested assets, time, equipment, dollars, it had to be in support of these tasks. TO assist us in this daily endeavor, these were the tasks that supported our mission statement. 10. 10 Task Organization So, this is what we looked like and who all we had working / living in the PRT.
I will explain the acronyms but first the dotted lines meant that I could not directly task them. TO create unity of effort we would have to work together.

12. 12 So, how did we do this?
Operations Meetings used to coordinate activities of all the actors in our area. All of those folks I showed earlier. We would meet with the external actors, UNAMA, IO / NGO’s to both share information with them and receive also. This allowed us to maximize our resources and gain greater visibility as to who was doing what where and why and to see if it made sense to partner with them.
Project nomination board: Internal to the PRT in process. Usually held 1 x week it brought the PRT board members to the table to discuss project nominations, things like road improvement, security items purchases, flood walls, refurbishments etc. Again allowed for coordination and reduced duplication of effort.
As part of our board was USAID and implementing for them was DAI. SO I will turn it over to Chris to discuss some of the Agricultural Initiatives he and his team worked. So, how did we do this?
