Course content • Core modules • International development, children and youth(impacts of poverty, globalisation, international organisations, NGOs) • Young lives in the Global South(theories of childhood and youth, education, health, child labour) • Young people’s rights and participation(debates on children’s rights, Convention on the Rights of the Child) • Researching children, childhood and youth(research methods training – preparation for dissertation) • Not: • Child development (psychological development)

  6. Who we’re looking for • Flexible • Ideally social science background • Ideally some relevant experience (work in development, education, youth work etc) • Usually minimum 2.2 equivalent • But: • THE APPLICATION MATTERS • Personal statement should indicate why they are interested in the course
