Fact A new study shows that females are missing from videogames, in which 85% of the characters are male Although female players represent 38% of all gamers, only around 11% of developers are women Turning to age groups, children and the elderly are almost non-existent in games, with adult characters making up nearly 87% of the total. Agree / Disagree Female characters are mostly princesses or wise older women.. mostly submissive or supportive characters Video games tend to favour male characters and place females as damsels in distress or sex icons Videogame players may be more diverse than ever, but for game characters the digital realm is still very much a white man's world. Female characters should have a large chest, small waist and medium to large hips. They should be skinny and have a long neck and long legs…revealing clothing.
