  2. Who is this guy “Satan”? • Got our parents out of paradise (7:27) • Calls people to do Shirk • Satan’s Profession  To Mislead mankind (4:118,119, 38:82)

  3. Who is he for us? Open enemy Qur’an 35:6  “Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) Him as an enemy. He Only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.”

  4. What did Allaah commanded us about him? • Combat Satan (4:76) • Follow not the footsteps (2:208)

  5. What do we mean by Traps? “Traps are the sincere and strategic attempts of Satan to take us to hell fire”

  6. Trap 1: Shave the Beard “Hey man! Make a clean shave. If you have a beard, you will not be selected” Satan will come as your friend and tell you

  7. Caution If you’re going to shave, think of this Hadith… “Prophet turned his face and said who these people who shaved their beard…”

  8. Combat! 1. Have the strong belief in beautiful names and attributes of Allaah. He is Ar-Razzaq, The Provider. 2. He provides us and not the interviewer. 3. Give a beautiful reply, if they ask you

  9. You are Joining the Company BUT Satan is already there Waiting for you!!!

  10. Trap 2: Secular Compromising attitude. People compromise their religion for their job. They feel shy to pray in their work place

  11. Caution Hell will be the final destination (74:42,43) Work Out

  12. Combat! 1. Look at your non muslim friends. They worship idols, stones, etc. They are that much foolish. How can a Muslim who worships true God almighty, Allaah can put himself down and feel shy to pray before them? 2. Do we really follow Allaah and His messenger or these secular non Muslims? 3. Tell them: “This your everyday appointment with God”

  13. Trap 3: Socializing & adaptability Interacting with opposite sex is not strange If you are not speaking, this is really really strange

  14. Caution 24:30  “Tell the believing men to lower their gaze , and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). that is purer for them. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of what they do.”

  15. Combat! • Be sincere to this ayat • Know that looking at women will decrease the Imaan • Send signals!!! • Do not compromise your relationship with Allaah for her relationship • Allaah is Ar-Raqeeb (ever watching over you)

  16. Trap 4: Money Matters “Sir, we offer you Lifetime free credit card” “Sir, you have pre approved loan of only 2% interest” “Sir, we offer Insurance worth 10 lakhs for you and your parents”

  17. Caution That 2% is hell fire Involving in Riba = Declaring war with Allaah and His messenger = 32 times of Zina (Adultery) 102:1, 2

  18. Combat! • Tell them you’re not interested before they could proceed with the details • If they still persist, Tell Islam doesn’t allow people to involve in Riba” • If they still persist, Tell “If Loan is based on 0% interest, I am 100% interested. If it is based on some % of interest, then I am 0% interested”

  19. Trap 5: Forwarding Shirky mails “If you forward this mail to 10 people, Jesus will visit you tonight” “If you forward this mail to 7 people, Angel will bring luck to you” “Know today’s fortune for your zodiac sign”

  20. Caution 4:116 - Verily! Allâh forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners In Worship with him, but He forgives whom He pleases sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners In Worship with Allâh, has indeed strayed far away.

  21. Combat! • Give importance to studying Aqeedah (Creed) from Qur’an and Sunnah • Delete such kind of mails immediately and educate your friend as well

  22. Trap 6: Weekend or WeakEnd “Shall we go for Movie?” “What about the Resort yaar?” “This New year we should go for PUB”

  23. Caution “Among my ummah there will certainly be people who will legalize zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Bukhari) Qur’an 31:6

  24. Combat! • Music will take you to unrealistic, imaginary world forgetting your purpose of remembering Allaah. • Fill your weekend in the path of Allaah. Join Islamic courses. • Start Now!

  25. How to escape from this and other traps of Saitan? • Dhikr (Remembrance) of Allaah • Live the life that you’re accountable on Day of Judgment • People in IT should have huge amount of IT (Imaan & Taqwa). • Know our enemy is very weak • Life is a Test. Paradise is our ultimate home. Let your act be like the act of Ahlul Jannah
