Later, Jimmy gave the song’s rights to his Aunt, Fay Voss as a birthday present. The song was recorded in 1963 by Jimmy Gilmer & the Fireballs at Norman Petty Studios in Clovis, New Mexico. The unusual and distinctive organ part was played on a Hammond Solovox.

  3. Bill Russel Wins 6th Championship! Bill Russel, a 6’10, 220 pound center for the Boston Celtics, won his 6th championship ring, on April 24. His team beat the Los Angeles Lakers in 6 games. Russel also won the MVP award that year and made the all-NBA first team that year. It was another remarkable season in Russel’s career. “Concentration and mental toughness are the margins of victory”, stated Russel. Russel plans on winning more NBA championships and going on to be the first African-American coach in the NBA.

  4. Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak “Where the Wild Things Are” is a children’s picture book written by Maurice Sendak. It tells the story of Max. In the story, he had a temper tandrum, and is sent to bed without supper by his mother. In his bedroom, a mysterious wild forest and sea grows out of his imagination. Then, Max wonders into the land, of where the wild things are. Maurice Sendak is from Brooklyn. He named the 4 monsters after his family members. At first, the book seemed negative reviews, but Children around the world loved the book. The book might possibly, be awarded with a Caldecott Medal award.
