Day 1. Sept. 19th 1863 • Thomas ordered Brannan’s division then posted down the road two miles north of Lee and Gordon’s Mill. • Brannan encountered and drove back Forrest’s dismounted cavalry, witch called on the nearest Confederate infantry for help. • This brought on all-day battle
Day 2. Sept,20 1863 • Bragg continued his assault on the Union. • Rosecrans was informed he had a gap in his line. • George H. Thomas took over command and began consolidating • The Confederacy Won
