Suicide is a beautiful word comes from a Latin ward “Suicidium” it means to kill oneself. It is an act by person for his, own death. It may be happen because of mental disorder, such as depression Alcoholism, drug abuse etc., Depression is mostly comes because of stress or over pressure. The factors of stress are financial difficulties or troubles with interpersonal relationship. Generally suicide rates are higher in men then in women, with males three to four times likely to kill themselves then female.
But suicide attempts are more common in young people and female. Why rates are higher in men than in women because basically, in physical men is stronger than women but in mental women is stronger than men. And majority of women disclose their feelings through anger or tear but men control their feelings themselves, hence it creates more pressure or stress in his mind. If it is extreme he comes to a decision to do suicide. Obviously men suicide is higher than women.
The main reason for suicide is Depression or Stress. There are so many reasons for depression or stress. • FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES • Unemployment • Low Salary • Huge Loss in Business • Introducing new technology • In support of State & Central Government • Unusual Nature • Poverty
INTERSPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP • Parent & Children • Teacher & Student • Husband & Wife • Between Lovers • Between Friends • Between Colleagues • Due to illness • Work Pressure
CASE I - WORK PRESSURE (IN I.T. COMPANY) Ms. P. Reshma, the 24 years old software engineer who jumped to her death from the 10th floor of an I.T. park in Taramani on 18th October 2013 night, apparently told her parents that she was depressed due to the hectic work pressure. She wants to be employed, she worked in I.T. Park but every night she cried and complaining of suicidal tendencies. She left behind four different suicide notes to her parents, brother and sister claiming that nobody was responsible for her death and she didn’t want to live anymore as she was lonely. In this case, Ms. P. Reshma had a different of opinions but not strong in her opinion that she wants employed at the same time she was unable to do her work because of heavy work pressure.

CASE II - PARENT& CHILDREN A college student , M.Sneha,18 years old second year degree student committed suicide at her house in East Mugappair on 15.12.2013 after her father rebuked her for talking continually to her friends on the cell phone. She was hanging from the ceiling of the first floor of her house. In this case, we can understood the youths are very sensitive and they could not tolerate even their parents scolding.
Solution: 1. Promote Joint family 2. Increase the tolerance of the parents 3. To Increase the Confidence Level to the Children 4. Create Social behavior to the children
CASE III - FAMILY PROBLEM & POVERTY A 32 years old woman and her three daughters committed suicide by hanging themselves in their house in Manali on 23.11.2013. Police said the daughters, Sangeetha, 14 Years Old, Saranya, 12 Years Old, and Sabithra, 10 Years Old were found hanging in another room. "It looks like Lakshmi first aided the girls in committing suicide and then killed herself. No suicide note was left.“ In this case, due to family problem between mother-in-law and sister-in-laws as well as because of poverty having 3 daughters she came to a decision that to do suicide.
Solution: 1. Government implement more plants to reduce poverty 2. Introduce new plans to implements on Agriculture 3. Reduce the Eco
CASE IV - HUSBAND & WIFE 42 years old doctor administered a drug to her 14 years old son and later committed suicide by injecting it herself in their sixth floor apartment at a complex on Arcot Road in Vadapalani on Friday night. The boy, Sidharth, a Class 9 student, is being treated at a private hospital. Geetha, a general physician at Vijaya Health Centre in Vadapalani, decided to end her life and that of her son following a quarrel with her husband Rajarajan, a marketing manager with a chocolate-manufacturing firm, who left for Delhi on work. She allegedly attempted suicide thrice earlier, police said.
In this case, even though Ms. Geetha may be doctor basically she was a woman; she loves her husband more than anything. Unfortunately her husband doesn’t have the capacity to understand his wife. The above four cases are only the samples but daily we are facing at least one suicide case in a hot city Chennai.

Human beings are fully framed with emotions and sentiments. If we feel anything against to us, immediately we get high temper, then it will become anger, and it creates suicide or murder. So we want to control, these suicides and murders we should think about the consequences of our activity. After we get anger, we try to control it 2 minutes it will save our life or others life in a long period. Prevention of suicide was a collective responsibility of Government and the people. The state government has to create awareness of suicide prevention and create facilities for treatment and rehabilitation.
We are trying to introduce mental health education in schools, Colleges and companies. A three pronged training module has been devised to cover students, Parents and teachers in schools & colleges and two pronged training module has been devised to cover Employer and employees in Companies and between relations & friends in society, on a variety of issues relating to mental health, moral values suicide prevention. Finally, everyone must understand that suicide was never a solution to any problem. The births given to us only for live. We should face every problem and try to solve it by challenge
