What stone was used for! The Stone Age is a broad prehistoric time during which humans widely used stone for tool making. Stone tools were made from all different types of stone. For example, flint and chert were shaped (or chipped) for use as cutting tools and weapons, while basalt and sandstone were used for ground stone tools, such as quern-stones. Wood, bone, shell, antler (deer) and other materials were widely used as well. During the most recent part of the period, sediments (like clay) were used to make pottery. A series of metal technology innovations characterize the later Chalcolithic (Copper Age), Bronze Age and Iron Age.
What were the people like? They were the first people on earth and they were very clever but only in physical ways. Like they learned how to light a fire and done all sorts of things with there stones and rocks! cavemen also sort of had there own language but it would probably be imposable to learn it these days.
What I think of the Stone Ages I think the stone ages were really really boring because all the did is wear hardly any clothes and walk round building stuff out of stone!. Did you know that the stone ages got its name because it was all made out of stone.
.stone (rocks) .bones Weapons The also used to use bones for weapons!
