  2. Background • To cope with the changes of (a) the Poly become PolyU, (b) an AA of EIE formed in 1994 • a new EEAA was needed to be established to promote alumni activities • Organizing Committee (OC) was formed in July 2002

  3. Main Objectives of EEAA • To promote fellowship, co‑ordination and mutual understanding amongst EE graduates • To act as linkage between the alumni and EE Dept • To organize activities amongst the EEAA Members and the students of EE Dept • To promote and cater for the welfare and common interest of EEAA Members

  4. Features of EEAA • An AA which is owned, managed and operated by the Members, for the benefits of all by means of meeting the objectives.

  5. Memorandum and Article (M&A) of Association • A working group was formed to draft the M&A • The M&A was forwarded to PolyU management through AADO. • With the full support from EE and AADO, the EEAA finally obtained the Deputy President (DP) approval for the use of the PolyU title.

  6. EEAA Membership • Honorary Members; • Full Members; • Associate Members; and • Student Members • Only full members have voting rights. • Honorary member can also be full member
