  2. Sleep Apnea is a common Sleep Disorder in which a person experiences disrupted breathing patterns while sleeping in the night. It’s a common sleeping disorder however, it can cause some serious health issues if left untreated for longer days.  If you’re facing any difficulty while sleeping, your doctor might ask to undergo a Sleep Apnea test which will help in the diagnosis of Sleep Apnea.  In this bl, or we will be studying the different methods of diagnosis of Sleep Apnea.

Diagnosis of Sleep Apnea Your doctor might ask you to undergo a Sleep Apnea test where you’ll be provided questionnaires for the better evaluation of symptoms like daytime sleepiness and detection of other risk factors such as High blood pressure, obesity, obesity factors.  If your consultant conjectures that you’re suffering from Sleep Apnea, they might recommend a Sleep Apnea test also known as polysomnography. It generally takes place at a lab during night time while you’re asleep. During this test, your breathing patterns and other important functions will monitor.  However, it is possible to monitor the sleep while you’re sleeping in your own home. Your doctor might ask you to monitor your Sleeping and breathing patterns if your symptoms strongly indicate Sleep Apnea.

Polysomnography (In-lab sleep study)  The n lab sleep studies are used for the diagnosis of Sleep Apnea along with various other sleep disorders that sometimes occur as an underlying condition also.  Many Sleep Studies generally take place between 10 Pm to 6 Am. If you’re a night owl or a morning person, this time frame would not be apt. An At-home test might be recommended.  You will be staying in a private room designed to make you much more comfortable so much like a hotel room. Brinpajamama along so that you sleep comfortably and monitoring could be done properly.  Sleep studies are generally non-invasive however, you might be attached with the variety of wires attached to your body. This might enable the sleep technician to monitor your breathing and sleeping patterns. Your brain activity and other important signs might also be monitored while you’re asleep.
