  2. Online instruction? Implementing online courses? Comparison of why to have online courses. Results of study by Kim and Bonk Pew Internet Project How do we augment courses with technology or offer them completely online? Faculty/staff development training and skills. Conclusion Thank You.

  3. Implementing online courses? Technology is currently infused in our current curriculum. The computer labs have many different types of learning programs for all age groups in the K-12 environment. Will offering complete or blended online coursework enhance and increase the learning of our students?

Pew Internet Project • 87% of all youth between the ages of 12 and 17 use the Internet (21 million people) • 86% percent of teens, 88% of online teens, and 80% of all parents believe that the Internet helps teenagers to do better in school. • 85% of 17 year olds have gone online to get information about a college, university, or other school they were thinking about attending.

  7. How do we augment courses with technology or offer them completely online?

  9. Conclusion • Online courses are being utilized more and more. • Students learn as well, if not better, by using online course technology. • Online coursework is the right decision for our students.
