1. What brand of paper towels will hold the most pennies?

2. Purpose The reason we are doing this project is To find out which brand of paper towels will hold the most pennies with water on the paper towels. Hypothesis We think that the school brand will hold the most pennies.

3. Materials List • 3 bounty paper towels • 3 sparkle paper towels • 3 school paper towels • Water droper • Pennies • Recording sheet • Pencil • Cup of water • Computer

4. Procedures • 1. we went to Walmart to buy 2 brands of paper towels. • 2. we got 3 school paper towels from Dave. • 3. we tour off one sheet of bounty brand paper towels. • 4. we took the bounty paper towel and held it over a jar. • 5. we put 15 ounces of water in the beaker

Procedures • 6. we poured the 15 ounces of water on the bounty paper towel. • 7. we got out pennies from Mrs. Bowman. • 8. place one penny at a time on the paper towel. • 9. you count the pennies as you put them on the bounty paper towel. • 10. keep placing pennies on the paper towel until it breaks.

6. Procedures • 11. record number of pennies on recording sheet. • 12. rip a sparkle piece of paper towel off the role and repeat step 4-10. • 13. rip a school paper towel of the role and repeat step 4-10.

8. Conclusion Our hypothesis was wrong we thought the school brand would hold the most pennies but it turned out the bounty paper towel brand held the most. Because it felt like the sturdiest paper towel.
