Introduction • What is marriage while studying? • People who are married but they still want to gain more knowledge to achieve their ambitions. • Example: Open University
What are we going to research? • The effects of marriage while studying in university within universities’ students. • The views of people towards this kind of marriage.
Where the research was conducted? • Universiti Malaysia Pahang • At the class • At the cafeteria • At the room
Who are the participants? • 30 people from Universiti Malaysia Pahang • Staffs such as lecturers whom are furthering their studies or already do so. • Students who are married or unmarried.
How we collect the data? • By giving out questionnaires to the participants.
How we analysed the data? • Using summary sheet • Convert data into graph
What are the effects? • Positive effects • Reduces poverty • Reduces stress • Helps in one’s husband’s earnings • Negative effects • Marital conflicts (increase stress) • Time management problem • Financial problem
What are the views on this topic? • Some do not agree on this topic but there are also people who agreed on this topic.
Conclusion • Overall, married students have more problems in managing their time between studies and family compared to unmarried students who think that they will have more problems in financial terms.
Both married and unmarried students think that education is very important. • Both married and unmarried students also think that marriage can reduce stress especially stress from studies.
Limitations of this study • The research was held at only one place which is around Universiti Malaysia Pahang compound . • The amount of unmarried students who took the survey about marriage while studying in a university are more than married students.
Suggestions • The research should be done not only at Universiti Malaysia Pahang but also at other places such as other universities . • The amount of married students and unmarried students who are going to take the survey based on the research should be adjusted to a fixed value .
Conclusion Remark • There are several major effects that affect married students: • time management problems • financial problems • the importance of education • stress reduction • The effects differ on different person.
