  2. What is Fall Forum? • The kick-off event for the Georgia Junior Classical League (GJCL) • An event to learn about the GJCL by participating with other students from across the state in a myriad of activities! • Fall Forum raises money for GJCL scholarships

  3. When/Where is Fall Forum? • Saturday, October 19th • 9am to 2pm • The Marist School, Sandy Springs, GA • (about 15 minutes away)

  4. What do I need to do to go? • Early registration ends Sunday, September 29th and costs $12 (makes checks out to MHS) • Regular registration ends October 13th and costs $15 (make checks out to MHS) • We will leave from Milton on the morning of October 19th at 8am

  5. What can I do at Fall Forum? • COMPETE! WIN! PLAY! INSULT PEOPLE! • There are over 50 different activities at Fall Forum, there is no way to attend them all, so you should pick the 3 or 4 that really interest you…

  6. Academic Contests • Academic Pentathlon (Latin 3+) • National Latin Exam • Roman History Exam • Medusa Mythology Exam • National Mythology Exam • Classical Art • Essay Contest • CAMWS Translation Exam

  7. Creative/Graphic Arts • Sight Reading • Impromptu Art • Banner Contest • Publicity Contest • Host/Hostess Contest

  8. Athletic Events • 50 yard dash • 100 yard dash • Softball Throw • Frisbee Throw • Speed Beach Volleyball Tournament

  9. Certamen • Three divisions – Novice, Lower, Upper • As many teams may participate in the preliminary round as you like • Only one team per level may move past the testing round • Up to 4 alternates allowed, but only 4 active members for the written portion
