NC Falcon Module 3 Collectingand Documenting Evidence

Collecting Evidence Collecting EvidenceNot only should you implement various instructional strategies, but also multiple ways to allow students to show what they have learned. It is important that teachers use methods that allow them to know where each student is in reaching the learning target. This evidence provides the opportunity for teachers to differentiate instruction, moving students toward their learning target. Collecting evidence gives actionable and detailed information for reflection and analysis for teacher growth.
Documenting Evidence It is important to remember that the documentation of evidence in the Formative Assessment process is not used for grading. Yes I said it!! Documentation of evidence should be used in driving decisions related to classroom instruction and advancing student learning. Documentation of Evidence also answers the question..... Where am I now? **************************************************
Documenting Evidence Strategies When documenting evidence, consider these statements as guidelines for choosing the appropriate strategy: The documentation should reflect the learning adequately and appropriately. The documented evidence of learning should provide enough information to make sound decisions that inform instruction and improve student learning
