  1. Why is it Important to Have Volunteers for Health Care in Zimbabwe?

  2. Volunteers are precious and every field needs them. A lot of importance is given to people volunteering in the field of health care. They need not be doctors or nurses to contribute to the community at large. There is a heavy requirement of volunteers for health care in Zimbabwe. In many parts of Africa, people are deprived of basic health care and medical aid. People volunteer there to provide assistance in administrative duties, provide basic treatment and offer patient support. Many also take active part in community health awareness programmes to help the locals know about diseases like HIV/AIDS, malaria and many more. Volunteers also support the community members who are infected with HIV. Similarly, assistance is also provided to the elderly. Afro Edge organizes volunteering programmes that involve all of the above. It works as an inbound volunteer placement organization. The volunteering project also invites volunteers for international cultural exchange.
