Standards for Career Ready Practice Career Ready Practices describe the fundamental career ready knowledge and skills a career ready student needsto prepare for transition to postsecondary education, career training, or the workforce. These practices are not exclusive to a career pathway, a Career Technical Education (CTE) program of study, a particular discipline, or level of education. Career Ready Practices are taught and reinforced in all career exploration and preparation programs with increasingly higher levels of complexityand expectation as a student advances through a program of study. Reminders as you review Pathway Standards 1. The standards are not a course outline. 2. Courses need not cover every standard. 3. Course lessons should map back to standards. 4. Some pathways have significant changes, some haveminimal changes. 5. The purpose is to review the new standards and ensure your course(s) align to standards.
