  2. The Problems Prior to Implementation • Perkins Core Indicators were hard to translate value and meaning at Local or Regional levels • No Primary Data for Louisiana Tech Prep • Consuming paperwork process with limited purpose and feedback

  3. The Goals to Improve the Tech Prep Story • Keep it Simple • Make it Useful • Require Use through the Local Application Process (LAP) • Provide opportunities to Shine

  4. Develop An Outside Partnership • Credible Independent Authority • Outside perspective combined with strong knowledge base of comparable programs • Related data developed through School-to-Work

  5. Identify Critical Questions • What indications are there that Louisiana Tech Prep Program is addressing its mission and goals? • What indications are there that Regional Consortia are addressing their respective goals and related objectives as stated in their LAPS?

  6. Critical Questions Continued • What issues or concerns have been identified at this time that warrant additional consideration by state and local Tech Prep administrators as they pursue the purposes of Tech Prep in Louisiana?
