  1. Mr. Moushey 7th Grade Math Welcome to LaMuth Middle School Open House 2013-2014

  2. 7th Grade Math • Number Sense • Ratios & Proportions • Expressions & Equations • Geometry • Statistics & Probability

  3. Math Homework: • If a student has difficulty with a homework assignment, has exhausted all optional resources, students may have their homework signed for credit. • 40-Minute Rule: Students are required to complete homework in it’s’ entirety. However, the estimated time of completion is not always the same for every student. Therefore, if a student has worked diligently on homework and was unable to complete the assignment, a parent may sign the homework to indicate that the student has worked for a minimum of 40 minutes. THIS IS AT THE DICRETION OF PARENTS…this is not a rule it is a recommendation.

  4. What Can I Do To Help? • Check planners & Online Classroom for homework & important info. • Math Homework: Communicate with a Signature or e-mail. • Practice Basic Math Facts!!! [60 in 60] • Use & Enforce Math Vocabulary. Make your child USE the Vocabulary. (Example 1.8 should be read one AND eight tenths;). • Don’t help too much! Students need to be problem solvers…PERSISTENCE is the key.
