Staying Well in Calderdale

This program, led by Calderdale Council, aims to reduce social isolation and loneliness in Calderdale. By improving health and wellbeing, reducing health inequalities, and creating more connected communities, the initiative seeks to lower the demand on healthcare services. Through direct funding to local voluntary sector hubs and engaging in participatory budgeting, the program empowers communities and individuals. Using arts and culture interventions and case studies, such as Men in Sheds and photography exhibitions, the initiative is making a tangible impact. The legacy of Staying Well includes contributing to system change, establishing wellness hubs, and aligning with Calderdale's Vision 2024. This comprehensive approach goes beyond challenges, ensuring inclusivity, sustainability, and a resilient future.
