Bias Monitoring • Two web meetings held this year • Discussed at the Daejeon Joint Meeting • Former GDWG member Hiromi Owada (JMA) developed a web page template • Final GRWG/GDWG decision: Develop a centralized, interactive, web page where bias monitoring plots from all GPRCs will be displayed • Time series of brightness temperature bias for standard scenes; all other plot types t.b.d. • Only… who is going to do it? 10th Session of the GSICS Executive Panel, June 2011, Geneva

NRTC/RAC netCDF Template • The template specifies the content of NRTC and RAC GEO-LEO IR calibration correction files • The common features from the current NOAA, EUMETSAT, and JMA files used in developing the template • All GEO-LEO IR products in the Demo phase must follow the template to reach the Preop phase 10th Session of the GSICS Executive Panel, June 2011, Geneva

Data Servers • Two fully functional THREDDS servers: NOAA and EUMETSAT • Regular upload of GSICS data to both • EUMETSAT server hosts the JMA data • Common directory structure implemented on both servers • CMA preparing a THREDDS server? 10th Session of the GSICS Executive Panel, June 2011, Geneva

Common THREDDS Configuration • Standardize the information and services offered for the hosted data sets • All GSICS product files will be mirrored between the servers (physical copies on each server) • For all other GSICS files, servers will redirect to the original server of those files • Access is logged on both servers in operation 10th Session of the GSICS Executive Panel, June 2011, Geneva

GSICS Product Discovery • Testing a plugin for THREDDS that generates ISO 19115 metadata directly from netCDF files • WMO Information System (WIS) • Any other ISO 19115-compatible metadata harvesting system • Datacasting?
