Macromolecules: Carbohydrates: Found in bread, noodles, rice and beans. Proteins: Found in cheese, milk, fish and chicken meat.
Macromolecules: Lipids: Found in things that are fried, such as: fired chicken, fries, pork chops, wings, hamburgers, bacon and cake. Nucleic Acid: Found in orange juice, lemons, fish and corn.
Macromolecules Tests: Benedict's Solution:Macromolecule: Simple Carbohydrate; Negative Test: Stays the same; Positive Test: heat- blue to orange. Iodine Solution:Macromolecule: Complex Carbohydrate; Negative Test: Stays brown; Positive Test: Brown to Black. Biuret Solution: Macromolecule: Protein; Negative Test: Stays the same; Positive Test: blue to pink. Sudan IV: Macromolecule: Lipids; Negative Test: Stays the same; Positive Test: Red to Dark Red. Brown Paper Test: Macromolecule: Lipids; Negative Test: Stays the Same; Positive Test: Brown to Dark Brown.
