    4. Purpose To present the structure of a combat sustainment support battalion (CSSB)

    5. Concept Brigade combat teams (BCTs) will receive CSS on an area support basis from a combat sustainment support battalion (CSSB). The CSSB will provide the link between the brigade support battalion (BSB) that support each BCT and higher-level sustainment forces in the theater support command. The CSSB will augment BSBs with maintenance, transportation, and other logistical support as required. The combination of BSBs and CSSBs will provide sustainment across the full spectrum of operations.

    7. Mission CSSB MTOE Mission: To provide command and control and structure for assigned or attached units.
