Lake Michigan • Lake Whitefish trawling study • WI Sea Grant completed a review on the impacts of trawling for whitefish from 2015 to 2018 • Currently assessing the trawl fishery in 2019 • Working on a permanent rule to allow trawling for Lake Whitefish in Zone 3 • Lake Whitefish tagging and catch composition studies in Green Bay and northern Door County • With tremendous assistance from commercial fishermen we tagged over 7,000 Lake Whitefish – Nov/Dec 2017 and 2018 • Currently working with fishers to continue catch composition study in Green Bay/Lake Michigan AGENDA ITEM # 6.B.
