Differences Between Those Who Sin If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 2:1My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 1:8 - 2:2
Differences Between Those Who Sin • Yet you often hear those outside of Christ assert: "I'm as good as most people in the church." They like to emphasize that in some ways they are as good, if not better, than some members of the church. They like to think that they can be saved along with members of the church because they are just as good as most church members.
