“Knowledge Cities” create: • More rewarding and well paid employment • Faster growth in community income and wealth • A more sustainable economy • Promotion of measured risk taking that helps build an • entrepreneurial culture • Firm connections between universities/enterprise/creators • Leadership in cultural production and the culture industry • Instruments that make knowledge accessible to citizens • Access to the new communication technologies for all citizens • Networks of connected schools • Improved capacity to improve and repair the environment, and • greater community commitment to pro-environment decision • making

Next Steps If we agree this is a worthwhile project, then our next steps should be: • Engage other institutions and gather their survey info. • Finish database and integrate web tools and GPS modeling. • Prepare support materials for “targeted industry” resolution. • Continue research into outcomes of Knowledge Cities initiatives with impact data. • ?
