  3. Connect To PS-M4110

  4. There are four management methods used to connect to a member. 1 Group Manager 2 Serial Console Ports 3 Telnet / SSH 4 M1000e CMC / iDRAC

  5. Connect To M4110 iDRAC via CMC • M1000e CMC Login • Default login=root • Default password = calvin • No O/S required • No agents to install

  6. Telnet to CMC • Telnet to the IP address of the CMC and login

  7. Connect To PS-M4110 • Connect to the iDRAC port of the PS-M4110 with a RACADM command • Connect server-x (x=slot number) • Login to the member to issue PS-Series cli commands

  8. Fabric Selection

  9. Change the Fabric • If the member is already installed you can change the fabric it communicates on.

  10. Configure Array • Click configure array to change the fabric

  11. Select the Fabric • Select the fabric and click apply

  18. Managing the Array with Group Manager • Managing a PS-M4110 array using the same tools as other arrays. • Familiar tools and process as all PS series arrays

  19. Group Manager GUI Requirements • Optimum screen size at least 1024 x 768 screen resolution • Browsers supported • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher • Firefox 3.6 or higher • Safari 5 or higher • Google Chrome12 or higher • Requires Oracle (Sun) Java 1.6.x (java6) or 1.7.x higher (java7)

  22. PS-M4110 Group • The PS-M4110 can join a Group within the M1000e chassis or External to the chassis

  23. PS-M4110 Without ToR • The PS-M4110 can join a Group outside the M1000e chassis External EqualLogic The external member is connected to the IOM switch’s in the M1000e chassis m1000e Stacked IOMs

  24. PS-M4110 With ToR External EqualLogic • The PS-M4110 can join a Group outside the M1000e chassis Stacked ToRs The external member is connected to the IOM switch’s outside of the M1000e chassis Ethernet LAN VLT LAG m1000e Stacked IOMs
