  1. Diamonds In The Rough Is Your Baseball or Softball Player Ready For College? Program Details • Your child's education is very important. Athletics is one of the activities that colleges and universities take into consideration during the admissions process. Furthermore, athletics can lead to scholarship opportunities which can offset the significant financial demands that colleges and universities have today. Have you considered the following: • Which educational institution best suits your child's major? • What is the quality of the SAT program that your child is using? • Do you know which college baseball or softball program has a need at the position that your child plays? • How does the college recruitment process work and am I going about it properly? • Is your child currently getting the appropriate instruction to make them the best player they can be? • Is your athlete following the proper strength and performance regimen to optimize their performance on the field? • How does financial aid work for student athletes and how will my current savings impact how much my child can get? • If the college baseball or softball program my child wants to get into isn’t available for them then which schools are best suited and how do we connect with their coaches? What is the “Diamonds in the Rough” Program The "Diamonds in the Rough" program was designed with the student athlete and parent in mind. College expenses are steadily increasing and financial aid coupled with what savings that you've been able to accrue in the recent financial climate seem to be the only answers right now. A strong transcript, good SAT scores and the ability to qualify for partial athletic scholarships or work study attached to being on a college roster could help mitigate that expense. This is what the New Jersey Diamond Academy has in mind with the development of this program. By building a system that prepares your child to perform in the classroom as well as on the field, we are confident that we can help make college more affordable. By having access to a quality SAT prep course developed by Ivy League instructors at Tiger Geeks, excellent baseball and softball instructors with college and professional experience, world class performance training from an instructor who works with professional athletes by Chuck Morris of Chuck Morris Sports Academy, access to an experienced college recruiter at Make It Happen recruiting who is locally based and financial planning workshops to use as a resource, we are helping put you in the best position to make college a more affordable reality.
