Guidance 100Student Outcomes • CLO 1: Students will be able to evaluate learning styles and apply them toward their lifelong learning by completing 3 projects. • CLO 2: Students will formulate test taking strategies for both objective and essay exams by creating test questions that use specific key words. • CLO 3: Students will create an educational plan for admittance or transfer to the CSU, UC, or private/independent schools for a specific major. • CLO 4: The students will summarize 3 personal strategies for mastering college.
Why is this Class Important? • Students will learn the importance of good study habits, note-taking strategies, time-management skills, academic integrity, etc. • There are so many useful skills that are not normally taught in a high school classroom. • Our WCA students will be well prepared for any college campus.
Guidance 100 Classroom Expectations • Students will come into class on time and prepared to work. • Students will bring their College Success book to class. • Student will bring their Chrome book to class. • Students will respect the teacher and each other. • Students will turn in their homework on time.
Guidance 100Remind 101 • Students and Parents are highly encouraged to subscribe to class through Remind 101. I can communicate with students about upcoming due dates, etc. via text, email, or both. My Counseling Duties • I am available to parents for parent meetings when requested. • Email is the best way to communicate with me tmuizelaar@hemetusd.org • Students have access to me anytime during passing period, at lunch, and after school.
