Workplace Representation in Denmark Impact of EU Directive on Information and Consultation After its entering into force in 2005 -co-operation committees exist as before, with minor changes in national agreements (primarily aimed at allowing access for groups not covered by agreements) -legislation applies directly to enterprises not covered by any of the five national Co-operation Agreements (i.e. employers who are not members of an employer association) -the Directive is likely to a) slightly increase the coverage of workplace representation b) lead to marginal changes in the composition of co-operation committees Herman Knudsen, for HIVA-EZA conference ”A Boost for Workplace Democracy in Europe?” Leuven 9-10 November
