Augusta Leonard Scholarship • This scholarship is for undergraduate education majors. Must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and maintain a 3.0 GPA. • 2010 Scholarship Recipients: • Ms. Burtoff • Mr. Corona • Ms. Ferdinand • Mr. Wilson
Barbara L. Lochridge Memorial Scholarship • For excellence in Elementary Education. Student must be a junior or senior in an undergraduate elementary education program maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA. • 2010 Scholarship Recipients: • Ms. Donnarumma • Ms. Winberg
Charlotte & Jerry Keller Scholarship for Teacher Education • Sheriff Keller began his career in law enforcement in 1969 with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. He served as Sheriff of the LVMPD from 1995-2003. Together with his wife Charlotte, they served the Las Vegas community particularly in education. • This scholarship is for students who are undergraduate education majors enrolled in student teaching and are Nevada residents • 2010 Scholarship Recipient: • Ms. Ruiz
Chester D. Simms Scholarship • Chester Simms was an early pioneer in the Las Vegas gaming business. This scholarship was founded due to Mr. Simms’ deep interest in formal education. • Undergraduate special education majors with financial need to be determined by the Student Financial Services Office and have current FAFSA on file. Evelyn Semling Endowed Scholarship • For sophomores, junior and seniors in undergraduate programs in elementary education. Student must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and maintain a 2.75 GPA. • 2010 Scholarship Recipient: • Ms. Collins
Foundation For Recovery Addictions Studies Scholarship • Students are awarded for excellence in addiction studies: • Undergraduate students must be enrolled full time, 12 or more credits, and: • Be a junior or senior with a declared minor in Addiction Treatment, Addiction Prevention, or Problem Gambling Counseling • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 • Graduate students must be enrolled full time, 6 or more credits, and: • Must pursue a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health with an emphasis in Addictions, or an Advanced Certificate in Addictions Studies 2010 Scholarship Recipients.

John M. Vergiels Endowed Scholarship for Graduate Studies • For graduate students with a major in the College of Education. • Students must be: • Formally admitted to UNLV • Maintain at least a 3.5 GPA • Preference given to Nevada or Ohio residents and to past recipients of this Scholarship. • Recipients may reapply for this scholarship in subsequent years provided they maintain the requirements.

Silver State Schools Credit Union Scholarship • For undergraduate education majors or graduates seeking initial teaching license in the College of Education.
